Share The Word Ministries

The Lord further equipped them in 1982 through Capernwray Harbour Bible School for developing the outreaches to a more strategic discipleship ministries in India and abroad. The Lord graciously introduced the indwelling Christ to many thousands of Christians in various churches of India through their Bible Teaching and Discipleship Ministries.

The work of the Ministry grew with the association of fellowshipping servants of Christ from India, Canada, USA, Germany and Norway who joined hands and ministered along with the Peters to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and serving the Church leadership with the message of Christ's sufficiency for Christian living. The Peters hosted many Church Retreats, Youth Seminars, and Leaders Conferences for the urban and rural churches all over India. The ministry of clear Bible teaching with a singular thrust of proclamation of Christ to the newly evangelized people in the Church became a word of the hour! The ministry labored on discipling people of many Churches all over the country!! When the Churches and organizations needed an identifiable name for this ministry, George and Ruth decided to call it ‘Share The Word Ministries' which soon became a registered name in 1985.

George and Ruth Peters acquired by God's provision a measure of 6 acres of dry agriculture land 71 km north east of Bangalore City in 1984, and developed it into a ‘ Ministry Base' for Share the Word Ministries – calling it ‘Green Valley Bible Centre'. Green Valley Bible Centre of Share the Word Ministries became a Bible Training base for many thousands of men and women whom the Peters trained since 1985. The place transformed through development in many stages since 1984 to date. The Bible School in Green Valley, which began in 1984, has become a fruitful discipleship ministry to the kingdom of Christ in India and abroad.
